Roger Elsener

Career to date

Roger Elsener from central Switzerland graduated from the University of Zurich in 2003 with a master's degree in journalism. He began his professional career in the telecommunications industry at Cablecom, where he worked as Product Manager for digital TV and radio until 2006. He then held management positions in various media companies, including in Berlin at Viacom International Media Networks (Paramount), the Swiss 3+ Group and AZ Medien. From 2018 to 2024, Roger Elsener was Managing Director of CH Media radio and TV group, and was also CEO of CH Media TV AG, the joint venture between CH Media and Sunrise for their TV group and the streaming service oneplus. Until April 2026 he was CEO of Zattoo, the leading Swiss internet TV streaming provider. Roger Elsener is the Director Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen since May 2026.
