Literature is the art of linguistic expression and cultural commemoration. Literary works reflect the diversity of culture and language. Through literature, we discover ourselves and explore the world. Literature makes us curious and unites the past and the present. Literature is a public service.
In our literary programming, we explore the current literature market and give Swiss authors a platform for their work. Shows such as “BuchZeichen”, “Schnabelweid” or “Literaturclub”, and our podcast “Literaturclub: Zwei mit Buch” (Book club: Two with a Book) give listeners an insight into old and new publications and encourage them to read. After all, there is a lot of activity on the Swiss literary scene, which also stimulates the Swiss book market. In addition, the SRF literature platform “Ansichten” (Views) gives an overview of contemporary Swiss authors. Visit ansichten.ch for numerous reading tips, as well as short biographies and audio samples.
We promote Swiss authors and literary events
Since 2007, we have been supporting the Solothurn Literary Festival as part of a media partnership. We also support the young literary festival “Lettere dalla Svizzera alla Valposchiavo”, which has been held in Puschlav since 2021, with a focus on multilingualism and on enabling conversations between authors from across Switzerland.
