Professional career

After studying law at the University of Bern and qualifying as a lawyer, Lukas Bruhin held various leading positions in the federal administration, including General Secretary of the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) and Head of International and Regulatory Affairs at Swiss Post. He's been the Chair of the Institute Council at Swissmedic since 2020. He's also a partner in a law firm in Zurich.
