Professional career
Hans-Ueli Vogt studied law at the University of Zurich. In 2003, he became an assistant professor and in 2007 an associate professor. He has been teaching private and business law at the University of Zurich since 2013 as a full professor. His studies and professional career have taken him to New York, where he completed a Master’s degree and worked as an attorney in a large firm, and to Florence, Harvard, Beijing and London. Hans-Ueli Vogt's teaching, articles and presentations mainly concern corporate and securities law and corporate governance. As a freelance lawyer he also provides legal advice and is active in the field of arbitration. Between 2009 and 2013, he worked as a consultant at the law firm Homburger. Between 2015 and 2021 Hans-Ueli Vogt sat in the National Council for the right-wing Swiss People’s Party. In 2022 he stood for election to the Federal Council.
