Simona Caminada

Career to date

Simona Caminada began her career at the Romansh daily newspaper La Quotidiana, followed by an internship at the SRG regional enterprise RTR. In 2012, she completed her studies at the University of Hamburg with a Master’s degree in journalism, following a Bachelor’s degree in media, communication, and film studies at the University of Zurich. Before her nomination as RTR Director, she worked at SRG for many years, where she held various positions. Most recently, she reported from Rome as a TV correspondent for SRF News. She also served as an examination expert at the Media Training Centre (MAZ) in Lucerne from 2017 to 2026.
