SRG Login

The data privacy notice below relates to data processing in the context of the SRG Login. In all other cases, the provisions of the General Data Privacy Statement apply.

The SRG Login allows you to access platforms and services of SRG and its enterprise units (RTR, RTS, RSI, SRF, SWI) that require you to have a user account.

Generally speaking, you can still use SRG content and services without an SRG Login.

SRG only requires users to have an account where this is needed in order to provide the material concerned, either because of the nature of the content, or for technical or legal reasons.
The SRG Login is operated jointly by SRG and its enterprise units (RSI, RTR, RTS, SRF, SWI). However, SRG remains the controller of your data under data protection law.

To register for the SRG Login, we require the following data:

  • email address
  • password

In order to unblock your account in the EU, we also need a Swiss mobile number from you.

We also record your language for the relevant SRG platform or service. This language is set as your display language when you register your account.

When you register, a unique identifier (UID) is generated. Your login details above are  linked to this UID.

When you use products and services from SRG (e.g. Play Suisse) and its enterprise units (RSI, RTR, RTS, SRF, SWI), your UID is used to identify you.

The data you entered is in principle only processed for the registration and provision of the SRG Login.

The social login allows you to use the login credentials from your social login provider (e.g. Google, Facebook, Apple, Twitter). The SRG Login obtains your email address from your social login provider.
If your social login provider does not disclose your email address, we will request it from you directly.

Our social login functionality uses an authorisation protocol known as OAuth (Open Authorisation). This protocol makes it possible for you to sign in to the system using your social login credentials.

If you sign into SRG Login using your login credentials from a third-party provider (e.g. Apple, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or Google), we can then access certain data stored by the relevant third-party provider. This may include your username(s), profile picture, date of birth, sex, and other details, depending on your settings.

If you no longer wish to use the SRG Login, you can delete your user account via your profile settings.
