Hackdays 2021: Changing media consumption
The sixth edition of the SRG Hackdays will take place entirely online on 25 and 26 March 2021. We are looking for developers, media producers, designers, media users, data scientists, UX-experts, educationalists and any other bright mind who wants to be part of shaping technological development of media consumption.
For two days we'll be taking on challenges regarding future media consumption and developing prototypes. You will share your creativity with your team and meet fascinating people from all around Switzerland.
At the kick-off event on 17 March, you can choose one of the challenges proposed. Of course, you can also bring your own idea around the theme «Changing media consumption». Examples: Data Science, Audio-Gamification, AI, Big Data, Social Media, Robotics, Virtual Reality, Connectivity, Mobility, IOT or E-Sports.
You chose a challenge and join the matching team or register already with a team and chose then together a project to work on. Experts from RSI, RTS and SRF will accompany you and coach you, where necessary. At the end of the two intense and inspiring days, every team will pitch its solution through a video and the winning projects will be selected. And if you're lucky, the SRG will finance the development of your prototype.
To implement your ideas and prototypes, you can access a selection of SRG Application Programming Interfaces (API). We also provide the cooperation platforms Sparkboard and Slack. You need your own hardware and any other software necessary for concept development and prototyping.

- Closure of registration: Sunday, 7 March 2021
- Kick-off event: Wednesday, 17 March 2021, 12:00–14:00 (Pitching or selection of challenges, team building, information about platforms etc.)
- Start Hackdays: Thursday 25 March 2021, 9:00
- Closure and upload of pitching videos: Friday, 26 March 2021, until 17:00 at the latest
- Closure voting: Monday, 29 March 2021, 12:00
- Award ceremony: Wednesday, 31. March 2021, 17:00–18:00
