Social plug-ins and embedded functions

We integrate functional and content elements in our online platforms that are obtained from the servers of the relevant providers (hereinafter referred to as 'third-party providers'). This may concern graphics, videos or maps (hereinafter uniformly referred to as 'content'). Integration of this content always requires third-party providers of such content to be able to process your IP address as without it the content cannot be sent to your browser. The IP address is therefore necessary to display this content or functions. We endeavour to only use content from providers who use your IP address solely to deliver the content.

Such social plug-ins recognise you from the logo on the relevant third-party provider of the social media platform.

If you have not approved the use of these plugins in the cookie banner, they will only be activated when you click on the provider's icon.  An information displayed at the respective place points out again that data can be sent to the external provider when clicking. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the third-party provider, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the privacy notices of the third-party providers.

If you want to prevent the third-party providers from assigning the data collected about you when you visit our website to your personal profile (if existing) on the relevant social media platform, you need to log out of the social media platform in question before visiting our website. You can also completely block plug-ins with specialised add-ons for your browser.

Third-party providers can also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as web beacons) for statistical or marketing purposes. These pixel tags allow information, such as visitor traffic to a website or app, to be analysed. This pseudonymised information can go further than cookies and is stored on your terminal device and includes technical information on the browser and operating system, on the referring websites, on the time of the visit, and on other details of use of our online platforms and can be linked to such information from other sources.
