Other income 2011
SRG SSR generates annual turnover of around CHF 1.6 billion. Some 70 percent of SRG SSR income derives from licence fees, while 30 percent comes from commercial revenues and other income.
Advertising revenue
The positive trend in the advertising industry continued into 2011. Following on from excellent growth in advertising revenue in 2010 (+28.6 million francs), 2011 brought a further increase of 14.5 million francs.

Other income
The subsidies that are included under other income (largely federal government subsidies for programming and services at the international level) edged up by 0.7 million francs compared with the previous year (2010: –0.4 million francs).
Service income was down by 3.3 million francs (2010: +2.5 million francs). While rental income from space leased to third parties increased (+2.7 million francs), revenues from technical support (–2.3 million francs) and other programming services (–3.8 million francs) fell short of their 2010 levels.
Despite the profit on the sale of real estate in Chur (+1.4 million francs), other operating income fell by 4.9 million francs (2010: +3.1 million francs). This is attributable to the one-off effect (+5.3 million francs) in 2010 of the sale of market research rights, and the 0.5 million-franc year-on-year decline in SatAccess revenues.
