Starting on 26 March, SRG joins forces with the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects, SIA, to present "Die Schweiz bauen", a series of short, made-for-television films featuring 13 buildings which embody respect for the environment and their situation. They incorporate pioneering approaches to building which make them far more than mere real estate.
13 April
SRG closes the 2010 financial year with a deficit of 12.3 million Swiss francs. A much higher loss of 74.5 million had been budgeted. This pleasing trend is explained by additional efforts to save resources and improve efficiency, higher commercial revenues and a reduction in financial liabilities.
15 – 21 April
The 17th "Visions du Réel" film festival takes place in Nyon. SRG has been supporting this celebration of documentary film-making for many years.
End-April
"Die Anderen. Les autres. Gli altri. Ils auters" ("The Others") is the 11th interregional project undertaken jointly by SRG's four first regional radio stations, DRS 1, La Première, Rete Uno, and RTR. From the end of April 2011, the stations feature weekly items written by journalists about the other language regions in Switzerland. This collaborative, intercultural project is designed to overcome language barriers, break down prejudice, and promote understanding of others.
26 May

With this new direction, the service will be aimed primarily at users world-wide with an interest in Switzerland, as well as at Swiss people living abroad.
3 – 13 August
The Locarno international film festival is held for the 64th year. The SRG focus is on developments in new media. Never before has so much audiovisual content been produced and consumed. This year, SRG began supporting multimedia productions under the aegis of the "Pacte de l’audiovisuel", and presents three of its own web projects at the Festival.
25 August
As part of its tighter real estate policy, SRG plans to sell buildings that are used only for administrative purposes, and not required operationally for the production of radio and television programmes.
25 August

In this capacity, he played a major role in the amalgamation of radio and television operations.
19 – 30 September
One month before Election Sunday on 23 October, the Bundesplatz square outside the Federal Parliament building is transformed under SRF's direction into a giant radio and television studio. For ten days, radio and TV production teams from SRF, RTS, RSI and RTR broadcast programming on the parliamentary elections as part of the "Treffpunkt Bundesplatz" ("Meeting Point Bundesplatz") project.

23 October
Parliamentary reporting is a fixture in SRG radio and television schedules. It informs the nation about federal and cantonal-level elections and thus encourages opinion on political matters. It also always offers live coverage of elections to the Federal Assembly (National Council and Council of States) and the Federal Council, enhanced by commentary from political and parliamentary experts.
27 October
SRG uses the opportunity afforded by the UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage to draw attention to its online radio and television archive. Ever since its inception in 1931, SRG has stored thousands of visual and audio documents. Some of these are now available to the general public in SRG's online archives.

It is the third such campaign, but the first time it has visited Lucerne. This year, the money will be used to help struggling mothers.
