Director of RTS since 2010 and before director of TSR since 2001, born 1962, Swiss

Gilles Marchand studied sociology (M.A.) and worked for the "Tribune de Genève" newspaper between 1988 and 1990. He later moved to Ringier Romandie, where he headed up the research, marketing and communications department, before becoming a director in 1998.

Directorships and other offices: Publisuisse SA (chairman), TV5 Monde, Euronews Lyon, Swiss TXT, Communauté des télévisions francophones, European Broadcasting Union/Eurovision Operations Council, "conseil d'orientation stratégique" strategic orientation committee at the University of Geneva.
